MobileActive08 is a global gathering connecting leaders who are working on the convergence of civil society, mobile technology and social change. The event addresses experts in the field of mobile technology for social development, researchers working on mobile technology for social impact and mobile service providers with interest in the social market. At this event, participants explore how mobile phones are effectively used to advance civil society work, assess the current state of knowledge in the use of mobile technology to advance social development, and investigate trends, needs and investment opportunities. A total of 350 participants are expected to participate.
