Highway Africa Conference: Citizen Journalism, Journalism for Citizens
The Highway Africa conference has over the years become the largest annual gathering of African journalists in the world. It is a forum for critical reflection on journalism, media and technology. This year the thematic focus will be on "Citizen Journalism, Journalism for Citizens".
"Media on the Move" Symposium
The Symposium "Media on the Move" takes place in Bonn, Germany, from 25 September to 27 September 2008. This symposium is a joint initiative of the Forum Media and Development (Deutsche Welle Academy, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, InWEnt, Centre for Development Research of Bonn University, CAMECO), the Protestant Academy of the Rhineland and the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
